Collection: Wet Specimens

Our wet specimens are properly handled and preserved to ensure a high quality product that will last indefinitely. We use a scientific grade fixative to fix and preserve the specimen. After sufficient time for fixation to occur, our specimens are transferred to an isopropyl alcohol solution for long term storage. Due to the dehydrating effect isopropyl alcohol can have on more delicate specimens (eyeballs for example), some are often transferred to a fresh fixative solution for storage.  All of our wet specimens are supplied suspended in a jar of preservative unless otherwise noted in the product description. This is often the case for larger specimens in which weight and jar size would significantly increase shipping costs. All eyeball specimens are properly fixed to limit clouding effects, unless otherwise noted.
