Raw beaver tail skins. Price is per two sides of a beaver tail connected (full tail piece). Tails are cut along one edge, skinned out, thoroughly fleshed, tacked open, and air dried. They are left attached by one edge not being split, allowing for the tails to be utilized for larger projects. These tails are raw and ready to be tanned! These tails are NOT currently tanned. May also work for other various craft projects in raw state.
#1 quality tails have no holes or blemishes within center of tail piece. (May have slight defect around edges, outside of common working area). If your project requires a totally defect-free tail piece, please leave us a note during checkout and we will pick one out for you.
#2 quality tails have one-two small holes/defects within center mass of tail. Still will have plenty of workable material for smaller projects where the entire tail is not needed.
Our beaver tails are sized based off width of the widest point of one side of the tail (half tail). Full width is often double this measurement.
Jumbo: 6" + (Typically 12" + long)
