Elk hide piece - fleshed, tacked open and air dried. November quality hair. Piece taken from along the animal's back between the shoulders. Piece is 10.5" tall x 2.5" wide. Hair is mostly 1.5 - 2" long. This piece has been washed free of most dirt and blood. Good hair for fly tying and various crafts. This piece is NOT tanned, so the hairs retain the natural oils and scents that many fly tiers desire. Nice golden to darker colors.
