Large sized Idaho wolf skull. 9" - 9.5" in length. Subadult animal. BEETLE CLEANED, degreased, and whitened. Has nice and complete turbinate nasal bones. The distal tip of the right pterygoid process is absent. Complete teeth except the left upper canine was mistaken as a premolar tooth by the fish and game department and was extracted for aging studies. The remaining canines are barely protruding from the bone and have not completely dropped yet. The lower right canine has a longitudinal crack. Many molars and premolars are still recessed in the bone and have not dropped. Has one remaining baby tooth, an upper P3 premolar with a new adult tooth pushing it out! Very nice younger wolf skull with a good white color! Has been sprayed with a clearcoat so it can be handled without fear of absorbing grease from your hands. Very unique and hard to come by skull!
