Idaho origin. Case skinned. Male river otter with feet and claws attached. Ears were not turned during preparation but ears have no evident slippage. Has complete genitalia attached. Would be suitable for rug, life-size, or soft mounting except for a few claw hulls are missing as follows: one on the front right foot, three on the front left foot, two on the rear right foot, and two on the rear left foot. #1 select quality heavy winter fur. Leather has a minor defect including a 1" diameter hole in the rear right legskin from fish and game CITES tag. Also has a ~1" length knife slit near the tip of the tail. 48" total length tip of nose to tip of tail; 30" tip of nose to base of tail. This otter was not stretched and dried on a stretcher but rather laid out and salted. This way the pelt retains its natural body shape during rehydration. Exceptionally nice pelt! Has a decent silver colored throat. Dark brownish color.
